Jon Heus
I began my creative career in Cleveland, Ohio at Cuyahoga Community College when a bunch of Drama club nerds managed to recruit me to a class due to my interest in improv comedy. After rehearsing improv relentlessly for 5 years, finishing the theatre program, performing in 15 plays, and co-founding a professional improv comedy troupe, I dropped out of Cleveland State University to pursue my acting and filmmaking career. It was during this time that I picked up a camera in order to film our improv shows and take headshots of our cast. People ended up liking my photos and asked me to take their headshots too. My love for photography grew from there. Eventually, I found that the Cleveland film community was much smaller than its theatre community and decided that moving to Atlanta was the best decision for my career.
I'm currently living in Peachtree City, GA with fellow creatives. Since moving here 3 years ago, I have been honing my skills as an actor, filmmaker, and photographer. By day I work either on film sets as a Grip/Electrician or photography project. By night I'm either writing, auditioning, or planning out my next project. This past year, my best friend and I produced my dream play, Lonestar. This year we plan to put together a short film that will tear up on the festival circuit. This is my life and I couldn't have dreamed it up better!
In my free time I find myself watching movies, working out, playing video games, or watching jealously as people walk their dogs.
My favorite actor is Christoph Waltz because I know I could never have as powerful a performance as him in Inglorious Basterds.
My favorite musicians are Ed Sheeran and Drake.
